Biography
His athletic career began in 2007 in Urgnano (Bergamo). He had tried many sports as a boy, but martial arts, particularly kung fu, remained part of his heart. He followed in the footsteps of his mother Carmen D'Agata, a former reasonable middle-distance runner, until his second season as a junior, mainly running 1000 metres, but his results in shorter distances led him to change specialities. After winning the Gymnasiade bronze medal, he suffered from back problems that caused him to miss the entire following season. His authoritative competitive comeback came in 2015, and his debut in the overall national team soon followed in 2016. He attended a technical institute for aeronautics. Passionate about wakeboarding and water sports, he enjoys creating websites as a hobby.
