Biography

She started in 2014 in Gallarate under the guidance of Beppe Cappelletti and Sandro Torno, who was her teacher at middle school. She has previously taken part in many sports: horse riding, fencing, artistic gymnastics and volleyball. Until 2017 she had personal bests of 12.29 in the 100 metres and 25.25 in the 200 metres. In 2018, with the Fanfulla Lodigiana jersey, she markedly improved, so much so as to be called up for the Italian team at the Mediterranean U23 Championships in Jesolo, where she set the junior Italian record with the 4x100. At the 2019 Tricolori in Rieti she achieved a time of 11.44, reached the semifinals at the European U20 Championships in Boras, and went all out in the final with 11.40, winning the gold medal. In 2021, she clocked 7.28 in the indoor 60 and won at the World Relays with the Italian team in the 4x100. Her older brother Riccardo, born in 1997, is also a sprinter (PB 10.84 in the 100): both have followed the example of their father Dario, a sprinter in his youth. She lives in Gallarate, where she studied humanities at high school, and is enrolled in a degree course in legal services. In her spare time she likes to read mystery books.
