Biography
She started doing sports with swimming and dancing, but she has always had a passion for running. So, when her sister Eva started practising athletics at the Teramo field, her secondary school teacher, Paola Marcone, encouraged to try out. She won her first Italian titles as a junior in the 800 and then chose to compete mainly in the 1500 metres. In 2021 she continued progressing, improving by over three seconds with 4:08.14. Among her sporting idols is Federica Del Buono, whom she later met as an opponent on the track. Ever since she was a little girl, she has been hiking and skiing on the Gran Sasso, and grew up with a love of the mountains passed on by her father Pino, a mountain guide, who died prematurely in 2014 in an avalanche. She studies psychology.
