Biography

He is the son of two Italians - his mother is from Serino in Avellino, and his father from Grotte in Agrigento. The two met in London when they were young. He played football as a child, then tried his hand at sprinting with several successes in school and youth championships until he took the British indoor 200m title in 2015 with 20.96. He has been training in London at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre since 2014 with young coach Joshua Nevers-Simpson, who is also his physiotherapist, after a spell in 2017 with Ryan Freckleton. In 2019 he improved his time to 10.26 in the 100, and on the 200m he improved to 20.41. Raised in Hertford, he now lives in West London and works in TV post-production after graduating in philosophy from Kings College. As a hobby he keeps a music blog. He became a nationalised Italian on 11th June 2016.
