Biography

His family speciality is the 800 metres: his father Mario, a former Fiamme Gialle athlete, and his mother Viola Serego were good middle-distance runners. In 2018 he won two golds at the exciting European U18 Championships in Gyor: he completed the 400 in 46.85, taking the student record away from Edoardo Scotti, and the mixed relay, and was then summoned to the World U20 Championships. In 2019 he also set the student indoor record (47.74). In 2020 he showed a marked improvement in his outdoor personal best (46.30), and in the 2021 indoor season he surpassed the Italian under-20 indoor record (47.11). From Balduina, Rome, he trains at the Acqua Acetosa facility. He graduated from high school with sciences and is studying medicine at Sapienza University. He loves music (he plays the piano), dabbles in cooking and is passionate about fantasy and history.
