Biography
He became involved in athletics after watching the 2004 Olympics on TV, but initially as a sprinter and also as a basketball player. He then tried racewalking for fun, and from the junior category he chose to devote himself solely to this discipline due to the fact that he got more satisfaction from an individual sport. He was trained in Sassari by Marco Sanna in collaboration with Nello Dessì. He won his first Italian junior title on the track in 2014, and in November of that year moved to Castelporziano to be coached by Patrizio Parcesepe. Since competing in his youth, he has always had the dream of competing in a 50 km race. He made his debut for that distance in 2015. He has a diploma in accounting and is a motorbike enthusiast.
