Biography
Zane, of South African origin, was elected in February by the highest body of world athletics to represent Italy on an international level. Second place in last year's Absolute in Padua, the weightlifter who trains in Italy with coach Paolo Dal Soglio and with Italian indoor record holder Leonardo Fabbri overcame the twenty-one metre wall in weight in February, continuing his rapid growth and enriching his potential on the Italian launch team. Weir is Italian as a result of the roots of his maternal grandfather, from Trieste. In parallel with his sport, he graduated in Cape Town in financial accounting.
