Biography
She began cycling even before she learned to walk, emulating her older brother. Initially her parents did not see a future for Letizia on two wheels, but over time they became her biggest fans. And it was precisely a friendship of her father Paul, born in Australia to parents from Trentino, with world champion and fellow countryman Maurizio Fondriest, that gave the twenty-one-year-old from Val di Non her start in sports. A champion in the youth categories, she immediately left her mark among the "greats" both on the track, with 5 world championship medals, and on the street, where in just two years, she has already achieved important victories. Presented with the "Piotr Nurowski" award in 2017 by the European Olympic Committees as the best European youth athlete, two years earlier she had won her first international competition wearing the national colours at the EYOF in Tbilisi. With a diploma in accounting studies, although she is very attached to her native land, she loves warm weather and the sea, her favourite place to spend her holidays. Passionate about fashion, even on the bike, she doesn’t renounce her femininity, and among she always has a hair straightener in her suitcase.
