Biography
Fencing has been a part of her life since she was a child when, at the age of 5 (before the recommended age), she entered the arena for the first time, brought along by her father Piero, experienced in this sport, specifically with the foil. Having taken her first steps on the fencing piste, young Alice set her sights on the Olympic dream, a dream that has become attainable over the years. Whilst she started off with the foil, her style changed at the age of 11, when she had her sights set on hitting more parts of the body: this is evident in her current playing style. She trained at the Accademia Scherma Marchesa in Turin and is registered with the Fiamme Oro of Italy. During training she focuses on developing her technique and speed, tactics that help her when fighting her opponents who are male in the majority. A graduate of the Liceo Linguistico, she is enrolled in International Sciences of Development and Cooperation and enjoys relaxing by listening to music or reading a book.
