Biography
The young sportsman from Rome has what it takes to become a top athlete in Italian fencing. This born-to-be fencer has collected numerous achievements in youth categories, including a double gold medal, individual and team, at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires where he was the flag-bearer of the Italian delegation. Whilst he’s been on the fencing piste since the age of 7 years, his first passion was dancing, an activity that he is able to continue with, thanks to his decision to attend the Liceo Coreutico (a high school specialising in dance and choreography) His older sister, Aurora, seems to be the inspiration for his career: he followed her in dancing and then fencing. The third of the Di Veroli brothers, Damiano, is also full of promise for when it comes to the foil fencing for Italy. In January 2019, at the age of 17, he stood proudly on the podium, winning second place in the World Cup (his first) in Heidenheim.
