Biography
He lived the Rio Olympics from his home couch, mitigating his disappointment with the joy for the victory of his friend Daniele Garozzo, his roommate during the national team retreats. A victory that also meant a turning point for his career. Tired of watching his teammates celebrate and inspired by Daniele's success, he turned his anger into energy. In 2018, at the age of 28, he put on his neck the individual and team world championship gold medal, finishing the season at the top of the world ranking, a position confirmed the following year. The first time with the foil in hand was at the age of six when, following in the footsteps of his older brother, he began to attend the Terni Fencing Club, a gym in which he still trains young boys who approach this discipline. His battle cry "Daje" is also engraved on his blades. A film buff, he dreams of a future as a director, but already in Tokyo, he wants to write an Oscar screenplay.
