Biography
By teaming up with Ruggero Tita she has made for one of the most successful crews in the last four years. Having first climbed upon a sailboat at the age of 13 during a summer course, Caterina then dedicated herself to other sports: fencing, horseback riding and classical dance, preferring study to competitive sports and graduating with full marks and honours in Oriental Studies. It was only when she was around 20 that, together with her brother, she got back into sailing, and when she climbed aboard the boat with Ruggero in 2017, they simply couldn’t stop winning. In 2018, in addition to qualifying Italy for Tokyo, she won the world title, the second European title (se won the third one in 2020) and national titles, along with the World Cup Finals, going straight into the hall of fame of Italian sailing.
