Biography

In 2018 she became the first Italian to win an individual silver medal in rhythmic gymnastics at a world championship event. Her mother was a member of the Russian national swimming team. She has tried various sports since she was a little girl, doing four at the same time for years: swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, classical ballet and horse riding. She drew the crucial component from each one of these sports, i.e. fun. When it came to picking only one of them, she opted to continue with rhythmic gymnastics. The results were not promising right from the start. As a matter of fact, she ranked last at her first official competition. Support from her family and an unwavering commitment helped her improve in a sport where trying over and over again is key to achieving perfection in every move.
