Biography

Everyone calls him “Rambo”, and with his strong and determined character, it’s not hard to see why. He became a rower by accident, when at 9 years old he found a flyer advertising courses on the River Po and his parents encouraged him to sign up. He loves the mountains and the great outdoors, and also dedicates himself to another sporting passion: cycling, which, like rowing, involves a lot of effort and contact with nature. His sporting idol is Lindsey Vonn because of his ability to overcome his injuries and then get back into the race stronger than before, as just as he did after his back problems. He has won a European gold and a world bronze in double scull with Filippo Mondelli, and he was 2018 World Champion and European Champion in the quad scull (2018, 2021).
