Biography
An Italian rising star. Italy can also count on her for a medal in athletics. The young girl from Friuli, European current champion in the under 23 category and indoor continental silver medal (her first medal as a “grown up”), is the third Italian athlete, after Sara Simeoni and Antonietta Di Martino, to have jumped the historic two meters, but in Brazil she wants to reach even higher. Whenever she can, she goes to the movies or out for a pizza with friends. Outside the stadium she attends the faculty of Modern Languages (she’s got ten exams left to graduate), inside, instead, she’s studying to “reach the summit, there where no one has”. In fact, for the Italian athlete, jumping is her “oxygen” and a challenge with herself. In Rio everyone is expecting her decisive leap in quality.
