Biography
She became interested in fencing at age eight, by chance, thanks to family friends who were directors of the Salerno Fencing Club. While the initial impact was not the greatest, it was the transition from foil to sabre that helped her find her way. Thanks to a "tour de force" between study and training, she joined the National team at the age of 15 for the Mediterranean Games. She has a world and European team title under her belt, and among her various placings a silver and two individual continental bronzes stand out. On the threshold of 31, she gets to experience her second Olympics; Rio 2016 was the dream, and Tokyo 2020 her chance to demonstrate her growth.
