Biography
At the age of 7, he experimented with fencing in the Acireale Fencing Club gym and at once demonstrated a great aptitude for this sport. A true devil/savage with the sword ion the youth categories. The two gold medals won in the first edition of the Youth Olympic Games, alongside the Silver team medal won in the Olympics in Rio in 2016, stand out amongst his achievements. In December 2018 he graduated in Political Science having written his thesis, entitled “The 1972 Olympics, between sport and politics" on the Olympic Games in Munich, dedicating this new milestone/achievement to all student-athletes who are able to continue in their studies alongside competitive activity despite the many difficulties. In the same year, the international federation awarded him the Fair Play prize for admitting a "no touch" during the final of the World Cup in Bogotà: "I opted for a just defeat over an undeserved victory."
