Biography
His father Gaetano, a rower, was the first to put him in a canoe at 9 years old at the Canottieri Ticino Pavia, the city where he was born. Trained by Stefano Loddo, he qualified for the Rio Games in 2016 and in his race, the K1 200 metres, he came in sixth. After a sabbatical year during which he wanted to concentrate on his studies to graduate in mechanical engineering, he came fifth at the 2019 World Championships, setting him on a path of constant growth. In his free time, he cultivates his unbridled passion for basketball and loves to cook and eat well, especially homemade pasta. He launched a hashtag of encouragement for his training, #daidaidai (#gogogo), which he is also ready to use in his upcoming races.
