Biography
With the silver medal in the final of the 2019 World Championships, he achieved much more than just qualifying for the Tokyo Games. This will also mark his third participation in the Olympics, seeing as he already took part in London 2012 and Rio 2016. Having already taken the world silver in the single lightweight class, he then dedicated himself to the double scull, the only lightweight boat in the Japanese programme, which he will be sharing with Stefano Oppo (they won together the gold medal at the 2020 European Championships). He was born in the province of Como and loves the mountains, but he is looking to be immortalised on the waters of Tokyo.
