Biography

He started with skiing, winning the tricolour junior giant slalom title in 2008, but at the same time cultivating his passion for tennis, which then became his main focus. Mother a waitress, father a cook - both in an alpine hut in the Fischlein valley - Sinner grew up with a culture of work and discretion. He became the youngest Italian tennis player in history to win a Challenger tournament.  The last year has been one of record-breaking growth: at 19  he became the youngest Italian ever to play and win an Atp final in the 'open' era, the youngest  to break into the Top 20 and to  reach the final of a Masters 1000. His idol is Federer. He loves pizza, sushi and chocolate and is an AC Milan fan. He relaxes to the music of Eminem.
