She began playing basketball with men, then switched to volleyball for a year. She had just the right amount of time to realise that playing basketball was her sole aspiration, despite not being encouraged by her coach when she played for Edelweiss. In 2014 she made her debut in the national team, then experienced a bubbling success that led her to conquer increasingly famous venues and become one of Italy´s most successful basketball players until she won the FIBA 3x3 World Cup in 2018 and qualified for the Olympics. She´s highly active on social networks and has provided encouragement during lockdown by creating a recipe for success: Filippi stands out for her commitment to solidarity initiatives favouring children suffering from serious illnesses. She loves cooking and enjoys having fun with her dogs.
