Biography

At the age of 14, she achieved her first World podium - at 15 she qualified for the Olympics with a new Italian record, becoming the first female swimmer from Puglia in history to take on the Games. And at 16, what will she achieve in Tokyo 2020? Baby Pilato is the darling of Italian swimming, and with the postponement of the Japanese Games, she will be able to face the challenge head-on with more maturity. Swimming remains a hobby of hers, alongside school and her love for Jovanotti and sweets. As Japan approaches, however, the young 'frog' is ready to make the leap.
