Biography
She was basically born in a gym. Daughter to a former volleyballer Giuseppe, former coach of the Italian National Team and Franca Bardelli, 93 caps with the Italian National Team. With more than 300 caps under her belt with the Italian Team, today she is a veteran. She is the National Team's silent leader: charismatic and with supreme work ethic, she instils confidence to the entire group. Standing “just” 176 cm tall, she is an uncommon hitter who makes up for her height deficit with supreme tactical acumen and above-average skills. Married to Matteo Carancini - the Cucine Lube Civitanova team manager - since 2014, in Tokyo she will be playing alongside her sister Caterina, a hitter just like her.
