Biography
She debuted in the B2 division at 15. Three years later, she had clawed her way up to topflight volleyball with Club Italia initially and Scandicci afterwards. A successful career that took off early: a bronze medal at the Under-18 European Championship and the best hitter award, an Under-18 World Championship gold medal and tournament's MVP all the way to the call to Senior National Team with which she won the silver medal at the 2018 World Championship. Too tall for gymnastics, volleyball was almost an obvious option given that her elder sister Giulia was already a volleyballer and she was the reason Elena began watching matches and going to gyms. However, the men of her life have a basketball background: her father was an A1 division player and her boyfriend Andrea is a basketball player too.
