Biography

Ofelia, nicknamed Lia, has been in sports since she was a little girl. Initially gymnastics, swimming and tennis, before asking her father whether she could try her hand at volleyball. And this was by no chance. As a matter of fact, her father is Atanas Malinov, the Bulgarian coach who won whatever there was to be won in Italy with Bergamo, while volleyball flows in the veins of her mother, Kamelia Arsenova, who had a successful career in the 90s. She was called to the National Team in 2015. In 2018 she won the silver medal at the World Championships and was named the tournament's best setter. Off the court, she has almost completed her Law degree, but now she has to focus on a test going by the name Olympic Games.
