Biography
“Gimmo” is the smallest member of the team, but at the age of 23, he is used to receiving accolades. As a child, he started swimming without much enthusiasm, only to discover water polo and fall in love with it. He tried the position of goalkeeper for the first time by chance, to replace an injured team-mate, but with his physique he immediately realised he could make a difference right there. At the junior national level, he won a World Championship under-20 silver in 2015, four years later he became a world champion with Settebello. His role model is obviously Stefano Tempesti, whose successes he dreams to emulate and whose place he wants to take in the national team.
