Biography

Born in Argentina, he grew up in Rosario, and at the age of 20 he moved to Spain where he played for several clubs and obtained Spanish citizenship. He participated in the Rio 2016 Games under the Spanish flag, then he was naturalised as an Italian thanks to his grandparents' origins. All his friends in Argentina played football, which he took no further than the dedication of a tattoo: his favourite team is Newell's Old Boys like his fellow countryman Lionel Messi, which he still follows now that he lives in Italy and despite the time difference. The call of the water was stronger than everything, even the departure from his country of origin to go to play in Europe and separation from his family, composed of 11 brothers, of which three play water polo like him. A left-handed striker with long curly hair, he has lived up to the expectations of Campagna, and has already shown that he can give so much to the national team.
