Biography

Baseball and Softball have always been a family affair. Her father, Pier Piancastelli, played in the A1 series with Modena while her mother Loredana scored over 300 games in the top softball series with 61 international appearances, including the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Born in Italy and raised in America, she began softball at the age of seven, distinguishing herself at High School. For four years, she played for the Mc Neese State University, collecting records and awards to the point that, at the end of her schooling, she had the honour of seeing her number, number 16, being retired. The adventure in America then continued with her debut in the professional league in the ranks of the Scrap Yard Dawgs. Now, as captain, she is preparing to live her personal Olympic dream with the desire to write an important new page in her family history.
