Biography

Safaris and excursions characterised Molinaro’s childhood, spent in Kenya. She preferred golf to tennis and, at the age of 16, she moved to the United States to continue her studies and pursue her sports career. Being a professional since 2012, in 2013, she ranked 2nd in the order of merit on the Symetra Tour - the 2nd American women’s circuit - where she first won the Friend of Mission Charity Classic (before her, only Silvia Cavalleri in 2007 at the Corona Championship, LPGA, had managed to establish herself in the States) and she was then named “rookie of the year”. She then moved on to the LPGA Tour, followed by her return to the Symetra in 2015, passing through the Rio Games and then the stable return to the LPGA Tour. This year, she finished 3rd in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Sport and study. In the States, Molinaro also graduated from Arizona State University where she and the College team won (individually) the Dale McNamara Invitational. In addition to golf, Molinaro is passionately dedicated to photography and kitesurfing, whilst still maintaining a strong bond with Africa and its nature.
