Biography
The passion for horses is a family passion: he started racing at the age of 9 at his father Giovanni's equestrian centre, who taught him how to ride. At the age of 15 he said goodbye to Matera to move to Northern Europe, becoming German by adoption. He spends his life in the stable, but as soon as he can he steals some time to be with his wife Henrike and their children Lisa and Elia. At 35 years old, he is ready to live his second Olympic experience.
