Biography
«El Hombre», as he is fondly known, acquired his Italian citizenship in 2010. He was called to the National Team in 2015. Besides winning a European Championship bronze medal in 2015, he also won a silver medal in the last Olympic Games in Rio. After officially retiring from the National Team, he had committed his time to the women of his life: his wife Glenda and his daughters Victoria and Angelica. However, he could not resist to the charm of wearing the National Team jersey again, right in time to carry the team to win the Olympics qualifier tournament. “If my dream was to participate in the Olympic games… why not twice?” A second chance, the Olympics chance to repeat the feat achieved five years ago and break the Olympics gold curse.
