Biography
It all started thanks to a classmate who played water polo who suggested he go with him to training. Very closely associated with Liguria, he has always played in teams of his region: Imperia, Camogli, Savona and then the long period in Pro Recco with whom he won seven championships, seven Italian Cups and one Champions League. The cornerstone of the national team since 2006, he was present both at the London Games, when he had just returned from injury, and those at Rio, when he dragged the team towards the bronze medal wearing a mask (to protect his broken nose). He has a passion for cooking and, having a Roman mother, his best dish is pasta alla carbonara.
