Biography
Participating in the Olympic Games has been the lifetime dream of his, which he fulfilled at the 2016 Rio Games where he won the silver medal. A golden moment for the Piedmont-born middle blocker but after which he was plagued by a string of injuries which not only side-lined him for long but also led him to consider retirement. A thought he has completely swept aside by now: he is back on court, won back his place in the National Team and decisively contributed towards winning the ticket to Tokyo 2020. A sensitive guy, committed beyond sports. As a matter of fact, his teammate Luca Vettori and he created the “Brododibecchi” web radio, a cultural organisation engaged in various social projects. He also promotes learning activities.
