Biography
“Super Pippo”, as he is fondly called, he wears the number 10 jersey of the National volleyball team. He was introduced into volleyball by his father Cristiano, a former player and his first coach, even though his massive physique tells of his early beginnings in Rugby too. At 15 years he joined the Trentino Volley youth team, the most important team of his career, before moving to Perugia and Monza. He has been in the Italian national team for the last nine years during which he has won a European Championship silver and bronze medal, a silver medal at the World Championship and above all a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Games. A memorable final that he hopes to repeat five years later with a different outcome hopefully.
