Biography
He was born in the Dominican Republic, but when he was seven his parents moved to Cagliari, Sardinia. His first sport was football, as a centre back, but it was a family friend who steered him towards athletics in 2013: Valentina Uccheddu, second-best female Italian long jumper of all time. Having grown up in Amsicora with coach Andrea Atzeni, at the end of 2016 he moved to Turin, where he studied sports science, to be coached by Alessandro Nocera and moved to the Riccardi Milano club: due to his remarkable stature, he was nicknamed the “gentle giant”. In 2017, he won both Italian promesse (U23) running titles (60 indoors and 100 outdoors). An AC Milan fan, he dabbles with computers as a hobby.
