Biography
He dreamed of being a footballer, as a big Torino fan and Ronaldinho fan. Instead, he made his mark in tennis. He played at 11, in 2015 he won his first ITF title in Santa Margherita di Pula and in 2016, he made his debut on the ATP circuit at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia, but his talent exploded in 2017. On 2 October, he was world number 435; in a fortnight, he rose to number 265. In 2018, he qualified for the Australian Open and celebrated his first career victory on the major circuit. This was the year he broke into the top 100, but his climb continued: at the recent Internazionali d'Italia, he only bowed out in the semi-final to Djokovic, finishing 28th in the rankings. He grew up with the myths of Federer and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, he's in love with Sardinia and is crazy about lasagna.
