Biography
Batini is one of the mom-athletes of the Italian Team. Having grown up in Antonio Di Ciolo's school of champions, she will now live her Olympic dream to end her career on high note: a career that has already seen her shine on a global scale with three gold medals and one silver medal in the team and the same medals at a European scale. But the Tuscan foil fencer also excels away from the piste and she also has, on display in the showcase, a degree in Management Engineering. Passionate about music (playing piano and drums), she is now engaged full time by the little Leonardo who cheers for her in Tokyo together with his father Matteo Tagliariol (gold in individual epée and team bronze in Beijing 2008), someone who knows about Olympic medals.
