Biography
He grew up in the pool with his older brothers Andrea and Carlo, all three water polo players. They are all children of the sport because dad Franco, a former A1 player who won the triple with Pescara (Italian Championship, Champions league, Supercup), is now a coach, while mother Monica is a swimming teacher. Top-notch performances and a precocious talent immediately brought him to the fore: at 16, he was called up to the junior national team with whom he won two European Championships and a World Championship, then he joined Settebello and Pro Recco, the most successful club in the world. The 2019 World Championship gold medal bears his signature, which is why he was also named as player of the tournament.
